Flower Pots with Bottles (Maceteros con Botellas)

Alumnado de 3º ESO han elaborado para el Día del Reciclaje unos prácticos maceteros con botellas de plástico. En Inglés, han redactado cómo lo hicieron para que toméis nota.

FLOWER POTS MADE OUT OF BIG BOTTLES OF FIZZY DRINKS

We also made some flower pots with big bottles of fizzy drinks. After collecting some plastic bottles, we made them of two different kinds.

On the one hand, we cut the bottle in two halves, the one for the compost -at the top- bigger than the one for the water -at the bottom.

On the other hand, the second option consisted of a hole -approximately of 10 cms long- on one of the sides of the bottle once this was put lying down onto a surface. The hole was big enough for us to pour the compost inside and then plant the flower. We also pierced some small holes on the bottom to let the water drain.

Once they were made we had them in the classroom till the great day of the market arrived.
