Solidarity Market (Mercadillo Solidario)

El alumno de 3º ESO, Miguel Ángel Montoro, ha realizado la siguiente redacción en la materia de Inglés sobre la preparación y el desarrollo del Día del Reciclaje y el Mercadillo Solidario que organizamos:

"Nativity scenes, Christmas decorations, key rings, purses made with milk/juice  tetrabriks, one giant chess set, earrings and pins made from bottle tops, shopping bags with old T-shirts, bookmarks, notebooks, lamps, decorative objects like a robot or a pig, soap out of used oil, and many other things that colleagues from other classes and we have done.

This project involved the majority of our teachers with the appropriate collaboration on their behalf, and other classes. Everything we made, from purses to soap was made with recycled materials that we ourselves brought with the help of the teachers and other mates.  Even many mates finished their work of art in their houses due to the time needed for some of them: we had to have them ready for the great day of the market to sell them all together. It was fantastic: many students and teachers came to collaborate in this solidarity market!!!! The money we raised was donated to an NGO by our coordinator. It was a wonderful day in many aspects.

At this time when money is so scarce and the necessity so big we have done our bit: I wished there could be more people ready to help others because all of us together can make a better world, a better place to live in."
